The Long Easter
Each Easter my sister Lila Jean & Family host an Easter Egg Hunt & Dinner for family & friends. This year it was at thier farm with some 59 attending. The egg hunt is the big thing and each year more & more are hidden but to use the word hidden is not quite true and yard was dotted with spring colors. And no one could miss them. Look at the botton left hand corne on the picture. That may give you some idea of the "blanket" of eggs that covered the yard.

What do M&M and CTMH have in common
Sunday my church First United Methodist Church, Rusk is having a brunch before the 11:00 Easter Service and I'm in charge of the brunch. The menu is a wonderful breakfast casserole, bubble bread, fruit, juice, milk & coffee and thanks to so many of my church family that's taken care of. So yesterday, I thought YIKES the tables got to decorate them.
I thought I would make little candy bags with M&M peanut candy in spring colors. I used CTMH Miracle and Sweetheart paper. Take a look

the colors were perfect |
I plan on putting these little bags on Easter grass in the center of the tables. The hardest thing in making these were keeping my grandkids out of the candy. There was a 5th color in the spring colors M&M "yellow". So guess what color they got to eat.
Happy Easter to all and never forget who died for you & me.

The steps to Layered Flowers are:
- Stamp base image in one color and outline in another (if applicable to stamp selected). Repeat on another piece of cardstock.
- Trim first image around all outer images. Trim second image, cutting out portions of the flower (to create the layered effect).
- Curl ends of petals on second image and adhere on top of first image. Layer mixtures of stamped accent and embellishments to finish.
Here you can see a visual demonstration of this technique.
I doubled my fun and made a second card. Hope you enjoy looking as I had making it.
