Each CTMH Idea Book I always think it is better than the last and this one is no difference. The colors, the pattern, the new embellishment, you get the point, I could go on & on. The last few weeks I have been creating and lovin' it. For this card I used "Florentine" paper which is geosuose and with a great pattern I didn't really have to do much. I only used one stamp, so I chose January Stamp of the Month "Thoughtful Tidings"

Today I am showcasing retired "Close To My Heart" paper Jingle. This was a Christmas paper when it came out but as I was going though my stash these colors caught my eye & said VALENTINE. So using my handy dandy Cricut with Art Philosophy Collection - I cut 4 1/2 inch letters spelling LOVE. I used spray adhesive to stick the paper to cardboard (the cardboard was from the back of paper tablets, yes I save that also) I simply use a canvas as my base that I painted with brown craft paint. The flowers were some a had collected over the years, none of them are CTMH. Ribbon & little "love" are some CTMH odds & ends. Blush, Hollyhock & Tulip which make up Light red & pink shade and the colors I used with a little Cranberry.
Now hop on over to Tabbi Fritz's blog for more ideas of using up your stash and I hope you enjoy this hop as much as I enjoyed participating in it.
Welcome to our Tips & Technique Blog Hop! This month there are some very talented “Close to my Heart” consultantshighlighting the Original Argyle technique as shown on page 91 in the Close To My Heart Autumn/Winter 2011 Idea Book!
I had so much fun making this card and it was a real challenge for me. There are so many great designs in so many styles, I can always find inspiration but this technique really though me for a loop. We were told to use the "Original Argyle" featured on page 91 of the Close To My Heart Fall/Winter 2011 Idea Book was our assignment so I used of flower shape and cut some to make the argyle type designs.
