For my Glitter I used the Bashful Glitter paper for my background, Red Shimmer Trim was used for the tree base, tree branches were Basic Fundamentals Paper   that I tore. For a little more bling I used a star from the Better Together Complements and added a few Bashful Pearls as a finishing touch.

CTMH Technique Blog Hop "Terrific Tags"

Welcome to the CTMH  Technique Blog Hop "Terrific Tags" and if you are hopping over from  Haley Dyer's blog you are on the right track. Hope you are enjoying all the creative tags.

All supplies are CTMH. Bases were all made with the Thin Cut-Basic Tags . For the Santa Tag I used some Ruby Cardstaock for the suit and then just bit and pieces for buckles and belt. I use stamp set - The Thought That Counts. For the last tag I just used a piece of Basic Fundamental paper and was very pleased with how it turned out.

CTMH Technique Blog Hop - Fun with Stencils

Welcome to the CTMH Technique Blog featuring "Fun with Stencils" This month there are 8 "Close To My Heart" Independent Consultants that will show you there take on "Fun with Stencils" and if you have hopped over from Cat's Blog you are in the right place.

This has been one of the most challenging blog hops for me. I could not  decide what to do, I have seen so many beautiful cards using stencils but that was not the case for me. After many, yes, many attempts this is the best I could do.

More Hello Foxy

I love this lSOTM Hello Foxy and here is another simple card I made. This stamp set is only available until June 30 so don't miss it.  I used my ShinHan™ Touch Twin™ and colored the little wreath which I thought complimented the Litte Dreamer paper. 

A Little House Cleaning

It's Saturday and I thought I would do a little house cleaning. Now the "room" I'm working on this morning is my "in box" of my email. Yes I'm one of those that just can't delete emails, not even all those ads I receive. So today I'm deleting all the ads I have received. Just looking through some emails I have some dating back to 2013. Please don't judge me.

Decluttering I know in organizing you need to know want to keep and what to get rid of. I ha
d a dear friend who is a professional  organizer. Charla came and transformed by barn. My barn is were I do my crafting, host family and friend get togethers and my hubby does his hobbies also and just a wonderful place to hang out.

Ok back to my story of emails. I have a direct sale business, a very active volunteer in several organization, a wife, mother, grandmother and is my spare time enjoy paper crafting, painting and working with flowers.

I had thousands, yes thousands of emails in my inbox, so the first thing I'm doing is  deleting by groups, You know all those ad emails, I use YAHOO and it allows you to call up all the emails from one sender and delete them all at one time. So that's what I been doing and I'm making some head way.

 I'm getting back to my project. Hope you have a great Saturday and I'll give you an update later.  Contact me if you like.

Retiring Stamp Sets - Get them before they are gone

Welcome to the Close To My Heart - Retiring Stamp Set Blog Hop. Now if you have hopping over from  Gina's Blog you are on the right track.  July 31, 2017 the Annual Inspiration will be retiring and with that we will be saying good by to many, many wonderful stamps. Be sure to get them before they are gone. 

Like so many people they love their home state. I'm from Texas with a true southern accent and proud of it. I  used the retiring State of Texas stamp and with the sapphire from  Enchantment Fundamentals paper was just the right blue and Cranberry Ink for a deeper red. I then added a bakers twine from Enchanted Ribbon Pack and Sequins Silver Assortment

Shaker Card

This card was inspired by a blog hop that will happen in a few days. "Shake It Up" I had never made a shaker card and thought I would give it a try. After several hours of searching the internet this is what I came up with.

I'm a purest when it comes to using Close To My Heart supplies so this is 100% CTMH. For the clear card I used a 4x4 flip flap, the confetti is the little pieces from the "Little Dreamer" complements and the paper is also Little Dreamer. Now the envelope is from the bulk pack and I just cut it down and added some adhesive to the sides so a 4x4 card would fit.

CTMH Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - Hello Foxy

Welcome to the Close To My Heart Stamp of the Month Blog Hop featuring the stamp set "Hello Foxy". which will only be available until June 30th.  If you have hopped over from Priscilla's Blog you are on the right track but if you have just happened along the way, you are in for a treat. I loved playing with this new stamp set and will be sharing some more project this month but for this hop I kept it simple. I used Whimsy Fundamentals paper with Whimsy Carkstock Smoothie and I chose black ink for the sentiment and the wreath and whisper for the outline of the little fox. I then pulled out my Watercolor Pencils and the small watercolor brush and let my inner child take over.

National Scrapbooking Month

Today is the last day of National Scrapbooking Month which means we will be saying goodbye to all the "Live Beautifully" paper, cut above kit and stamp set. I have had a great time with this paper and have seen so many beautiful scrapbook layouts, cards and projects with a wide range of photos and occasions like proms, weddings, vintage, family, just to mention a few.

CTMH Technique Blog Hop - Embellishment Envy

If you did not know this about me I LOVE Shimmer Trim and use it ever change I get and a couple of weeks ago I attended a nephew's wedding and want was I to do but pull out a white bag and start putting my CTMH embellishments to work. I used "my go too" gold shimmer trimmer" which I trimmed down making it thinner. Then I remembered the My Girl Complements with that beautiful gold love, hearts and an arrow, I added a little White & Gold Ribbon with a few gold sequins and made a simple design on some sea glass cardstock. In a matter of minutes the gift was ready.

Get Your Scra pbooking On Group

Well, I'm taking the leap and starting a scrapbook group.  Here are the guild lines I have and it is fluid so there may LOL be changes. I do hope to have it up and running in June and would love to have long distance participates.

• What - “Get your Scrapbooking On” group
• When-  Meet 2nd Monday or Tuesday, To be decided by group, majority rules
• Time – 2-4pm & 6-8pm choose what is best for you,
• Where – 2213 CR 1605, Rusk
• Cost  $30.00
• We will begin using CTMH scrapbook Workshop Your Way with printed instructions.
• There is no minimum times you have to attend or no contracts
• If you order your own supplies I would suggest you order 15 days before class and you will be eligible for “Stamp of the Month”  discount and any other special that “Close To My Heart” may have going on.
• Group will continue as long as there are 5 participates for each month.
• Must prepay or order your supplies at least 15 days before schedule class
• Each participate will need basic supplies -Paper Trimmer, scissors, adhesive, 3D foam tape, etc 
• If you would like precut workshop there will be a $5 charge and I must order for you.
• I’m sure I have forgotten something and this will be a learning curve for me, for sure.
