Great time between Christmas & New Years

The holidays have been so enjoyable, time with family and friends and I have also fit in a little shopping. The Whistle Stop is a little shop in my home town that has some of the neatest stuff. Sandra, the shop owner is so sweet and we always are going on about which one of us is the oldest.  Several month ago I was in the Whistle Stop just looking around and there a clock and had just come in and I loved it.  And this past Friday Sandra had a half price sell. Oh, yes the clock was still there and the best thing was I had a "gift certificate" that I was given by the most wonderful kids I had directed this past summer at a theatre camp.

So long story, short this clock is now hanging a my crafting barn for all to see.


Yesterday there was some of the CTMH Lovelies at the barn for a little cropping and oh, yes they also loved the clock!

Stamp of the Month Blog Hop -

Welcome to the Stamp of the Month Blog Hop featuring stamp set S1312 - Special Care. Now if you have arrived from Terry Ann's Blog you are on the right track.  This month "Special Care" stamp set is so sweet and I have seen many wonderful creations. I inspiration came from the Hobby Lobby magazine, I copied it right off of one of the pages. I think it may have been an ad but I loved the way it turned out.



I used to very unlikely papers pack Frosted and Laughing Lola and adding some retired crocheted ribbon as a border, Laughing Lola Complements Dimensional Elements and grey bakers twine. I also did a little paper piecing

Having a little crafting time

Today I planned on getting ready for crop at my place, the Crafting Barn and it started out good but I did get sidetracked, So I thought I would just post a couple of things I created.

This weekend hubby & I attended an 80th birthday party of a dear friend. It was NO gifts please. Well I could not help myself, I just had to make something and I thought the My Creation Kraft 3-ring binder was what I had dress up a little. It would be prefect for all the photos taken and a great place to put all the birthday cards.  With the help of the Cricut® Artbooking Collection this is what  made it sooooo easy. I used  odds and ends from paper packs to make the pages.

Make it from the Heart Monday on Tuesday

If you visit my blog often you know I have been MIA on my "Make it from the Heart Monday" post.  Life has been really busy and I have not been crafting.  So yesterday I had time to craft and work in my craft barn, it was so nice. This is a little card i worked designed and I hope you enjoy it.

I love number and letter stamps and have almost everyone that "Close To My Heart" has designed since I joined in 2008. That being said I used the stamp set Magical Days, I know, I know, this is a Christmas Stamp but you don't have to use it as a Christmas Stamp. See what I did.

 



I used  Magical Days stamp set for the back ground and added Party washi tape 3 pack and used Just a number stamp set. Now if you have any questions just email me and I'll be glad to help you.

Technique Blog Hop - Only CardStock

Welcome the "Technique Blog Hop - Only Card Stock and if you are coming from Terri's Blog are are on the right. This month our blog hop was to only use card stock, no B&T or patterned. With 40 colors to choose from I had a hard to making the discussion but then I thought I'm working on my "Santa's Workshop and Open House and needed a few more items. I saw my 3 ring binder and my Cricut® Artbooking Collection and I had a plan. This was quiet a hit during a recent Ladies Night Out this week. The items I used were Cranberry and Pear cardstock, Sparkle & Shine Washi Tape 3 pack, Black & Grey Glitter paper,  Ruby Chevon Ribbon and yes of course I added some bling. This was so simple, the base is a white daisy cardstock that I cut for the 5x7 card, this stamp was a little large so I thought it best to use a larger card. I used the WOTG Sparkle & Shine- stamp set, paper pack and Sparkle & Shine Assortment, which is a bargain, you get $41.46 worth for $29.95-that's a $11.51 savings.

I had been working on the September SOTM - Scandinavian Wishesblog hop and thought this would be so easy to make a little tag and putting in the our My Creations™ Burlap Drawstring Bags just seemed to be a no brainer. Monday is almost over and I'm just getting around to posting my creation and this week I have done something a little different. I was inspired by the die cut blog hop I participated. I found all kinds of die cuts in my stash. And then this weekend I finally played around the the new Cricut® Artbooking Collection and then I met #5 and it all came together. See what I made!

Make it from the Heart Monday

Well once again my inspiration came from Color My Heart Color Dare and Sketch Saturday.  Now I'm pleased with my card and used plenty of "Close To My Heart" Bling.

 

The paper I used was Sarita Paper Packet that features the colors of  goldrush, outdoor denim, lagoon and gypsy,. I also used the stamp set of Card Chatter—Focus On The Little Things , I embellished with textile and bling I had left from the Fabric Necklace Kit.

Well today I'm so proud of myself, I have my creation ready to go, so I'm not waiting till the last minute to get my act together.  OK today I'm playing 2, yep 2 blog challenges and very please with how my card came out. The two blogs were - Color My Heart Color Dare  for the color  and Saturday Sketch Challenge for the design.

Yes, everything is "Close To My Heart" and color I add with whisper and slate was honey, the stamp set was Honeycomb.. For embellishment I used  the little bitty black sparkle from the Sparkles Black & Grey Assortment &   grey wool twine. Thanks for stopping by. JF

Happy Labor Day to all! I'm enjoying this quite day, spent the morning with my sweet hubby, enjoying some coffee and now I'm at my place, the crafting barn.

This past Saturday I had some friends over for an open crop and create I did. Well there was some excellent food and lots of talking & laughing, too

Today many kiddos started to school and among these were my four grandkids. Yes the big yellow-fellows were out in force.

Now to my Mondays creation.  I visited Clean and Simple blog last week and like what the challenge but thought I would look at a few more before I made by my mind. So today about 4pm I had not made anything so this was something I put together in minutes. I me the hardest part is the design so visit many blogs for inspiration.

Use Your Stash Blog Hop Simple Card
